Our party of 5 stayed at one of the 2nd floor condos. The room was spacious and everything was very clean. Southwest facing windows had a great view of the mountains. Virtual check-in system was very easy to navigate and our experience overall was great. We stayed on the record hottest day in Canmore, and management had the foresight to stock the fridge with free ice cream and water. Kudos for the attention to detail! Unfortunately I must knock off 1 star because of the location, which is right next to the rail tracks - as in, the train passes within throwing distance. The management have made effort to address this with complementary earplugs, but it doesn't completely mitigate the sleep disruption. Be aware of this if you're a light sleeper. In conclusion, excellent facility, excellent staff, but noise is an issue.
Major renovations and new buildings here. We Stayed for 1 night on the second floor on a 2 king bed room. It was the first day they opened. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Decent basic breakfast included. I got to chat with the owners of the place, and they were more than receptive to input! This is not the Basecamp of old. New colors, new buildings. Parking is tight, so beware if you have a large truck depending on which building you are in. Train tracks are right behind the buildings, but it did not interrupt our sleep, and they do provide with ear plugs, but we did not find it necessary. Awesome toiletry product(soaps, shampoos etc) as well.
A self check in hotel. 20 km. to Banff. Located just beside railway, the reason for 1 star less. It will be a little noisy when trains pass by. The hotel is so considerate by providing few pair of ear plugs. Despite the noise from trains, the view from our bedroom is great. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are washing machine and dryer in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an issue about the bathroom door at 4:30pm. The young staff came In just a few minute after the call and kept on apologizing us most of the time. This good service mind gave very good impression.
Stayed here with a large group (8 to a room) and there were plenty of beds and space for all of us! I loved the big table we could all fit around. Suites were tastefully decorated and had a great layout! Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with any kitchen tools we would need. One thing to note, there is only a large French press instead of a coffee maker, which is totally fine, but doesn't work with fine ground coffee! I also appreciated the tower fan in the closet of every room. Beds were firm but comfortable. Super soft pillows! It's a great location, easy to walk downtown, and great views! Trains absolutely go by a lot, but you can't hear them with the windows closed. There were many large groups staying there who were quite rambunctious, but we couldn't hear them at all!The no-reception check in model worked well and was super easy! The one downside was only having one parking spot for such large suites. We found parking a bit of a way down the road, but it would be nice to have at least two spaces per suite. This was a great place to stay and we will definitely be back!
We had a beautiful main street facing suite, amazing view of the mountains. Very polite and helpful staff. Continental breakfast. Everything inside was very nice. Definitely recommend staying here.
