Enjoyed our stay at the Ramada in Canmore over May long weekend. Room was great. Clean. Nice tall ceiling as we were on the third floor. even though you had to pay for breakfast it was delicious and a great price- $6.99ea if you were a guest of the hotel. Not too shabby for a hot buffet breakfast! Lots of parking. Beautiful views. Staff was courteous, pleasant, and helpful. We were happy there was an elevator because we had to make multiple trips to the car for our bags, coolers, etc. We didn't have a chance to try out the pool while there. Or room was a kitchenette, which is perfect for anyone trying to not spend money on food. No cooktop but the microwave and toaster were all we needed- and the fridge of course. Decent stay for the rate we paid! Will most likely stay here again next time we are in Canmore.
Slightly overpriced but that comes with the area and the timing. Everything else around Banff was also rather pricey. I paid 235 Canadian Dollars for a night at the beginning of August. I liked the location of the hotel. Just cross the railroad tracks and you'll find 2 large supermarkets plus a Tim Hortons and a Starbucks. 3 Trains went by at night. I woke up each time and fell right back to sleep. Great view from the 3rd floor towards the mountains. The room had a microwave and a fridge.
Nice and price-worthy place. Great staff, comfortable and tidy rooms, great breakfast (although not included in the price). Recommended!
Expensive but bad experience. The light in washroom kept flashing like in a haunted house. Almost seizure like. Bottle water was never replenished. 2 bottles. That's it no matter how many days of your stay. Every extra bottle costs your $2. The cleaning service sucked. And not literally since it seems they never passed a vacuum around.They did not change the bed sheets which already had foot prints in advance like a forewarning to the upcoming quality of your stay. If you want to pay Fairmont price tag with Motel quality, this is the place to fulfill your wish.
It's now known as Canmore Inn and Suites. The three story slide is Awesome! The place is clean and the bed is comfortable.
