Went to the Wood after a day of sightseeing and Mountain Biking. Great good but was not impress by the quality of the steak.... but their Dry Ribs are simply to die for!!! Great selection of beer; and good menu variety. Service is nice and upbeat, but a bit slow.... but then again Im in vacation so it is all good!
This place has a nice kids menu. We ordered 3 appetizers for the adults instead of dinner and it was lots of food. The patio has heaters and the servers came around with blankets when it started to get chilly.Those with mobility issues should be aware that the bathrooms are down a flight of stairs.
Food is pretty good. Yam fries are tasty, and salads are fresh.The sandwiches are also decent, although the bread seemed very bland.Service is good, but the food took a while.
Really good food here. We were visiting from Calgary and found this cozy yet large restaurant on our walk through town. The beef dip was very good, wings were nice and crispy, and my sons little pizza seemed to make him happy. The server was a bit lacking though. She didn't know what the specials were and seemed put out of her way to be serving us.
Great food, hilariously bad service. I've been three times and dealt with five different servers, all of them are very upbeat and friendly but absolutely terrible at their jobs. Why do I keep going back? My first visit I had one of the best Caesars I've ever had in my life. It was made with jalapeo Stolichnaya that was delicious and deeply spicy all the way through. It was without the vinegar taste you get at other places when you ask for extra spice and they just jump half a bottle of Tabasco in. Ever since, they have been unable to come even remotely close. Last visit (will be my last ever visit) I ordered a Caesar and then told the bartender exactly what I was looking for in Caesar #2. Instead of giving me what I ordered, I watched the bartender dump about a third of the brine from a jar of "extreme beans" into my drink to fill it up about halfway. How do you think that tasted? I won't be back, but because of it's location and constantly rotating Client base due to tourism this place will likely outlive me.
