Sat on the deck and enjoyed the good food. Great bbq and you can usually get a seat. Parking can be a problem but thats the same everywhere downtown. Only negative is the they dont seem to have enough serving staff so you tend to wait to order or reorder.
Food was good, not real poutine cheese curds though. The waitress was not friendly at all but the rest of the staff was quite nice. You can play pool (1.25$) and darts (free). Good menu, fair pricing for the area. Did not honor the menu pricing for the side poutine, as this was not the good price displayed somehow.
Went with the sausage while h was nothing special If you are going to charge $4 for a side of fries maybe step it up a bit. Potatoes are cheap and if you are trying to make a buck that is not the place to be cheap.Overall just average, there are some great restaurants in canmore, this is not one of them. Just average
Ive always liked this pub for its live music and relatively good pub grub and the service is generally very good and consistent, I recently shared a meal with friends here and found that they had recently changed the menu so many of my favourites were no longer available, undaunted I tried their new BBQ menu because on paper it sounded really good, what I received was not as advertised or expected though... I ordered the chicken which showed up bland and tasteless as well as so dry that it was almost desiccated my friend had also ordered a similar item and experienced the same thing which we mentioned to the waitress who told us that she would speak to the kitchen, quite a while later she showed up with our bill and she told us that the kitchen agreed with our findings but she didnt comp or discount us in anyway in fact she didnt even apologize, I realize that many of the clientele are tourists and probably wont return but Im a local and I bring visitors to places like this on my recommendation and frankly I found myself apologizing to my friends for their poor quality meals and obviously my bad choice in bringing them here. I guess I felt that the establishment should have exercised a little more compassion and pride in their product and should have offered a replacement (there was ample time) or at least discounted or compd the offending meals
Fun bar with a well-worn feel. Clearly very popular with locals (and for good reason!) The burger I had was awesome. The Alberta beef patty was a show stopper and the burger was excellently seasoned. The brioche bun was a nice touch.Prices are reasonable.
