Came here for dinner with the family. The food was pricey but you're in Canmore so kind of expected. The food itself was great. Ordered a couple of steaks, salmon (stingy on the side), boar chop and lamb meatballs spaghetti. The NY strip was probably the best dish of the five. Where I take a star off, is the service was okay. It was slow at times especially considering it was around closing time so the restaurant was half empty. For example, our wine had not been refilled by the end of the meal and we had to grab it from the adjacent table. Overall though we had a good time.
We recently had our wedding reception at Murrietas. I can say they they went above and beyond with both service and the menu. They made every single guest feel like they had their own personal server, attentive and kind. The food is still being talked about a week later. It was absolutely fantastic. Everything was cooked perfectly, the 4 courses came out in great timing, and were perfectly sized. I cant say enough about the staff at Murrietas. You made our small little wedding feel like it was as important as one that would have filled the entire restaurant. Thank you again. We cant wait to come back and celebrate our one year!
A good restaurant in Canmore with traditional and innovative dishes at the same time. Waiter are a little bit formal but the atmosphere is relaxing and you will feel comfortable. Price in line with quality and prestige of the environment.
Delicious brunch and amazing views. I had the smoked salmon tacos for brunch. 100% recommended.
Great service, atmosphere and food! Our server was very friendly and someone from the kitchen personally came out to apologize for a longer wait time (it wasn't even too long) which was really admirable. I like how it's a fine dining environment but because of the proximity to the mountains, they're flexible with dress code. Would highly recommend to anyone passing by!
