A friend of mine and I came here on Monday night to have some food and even though the kitchen was closed when we arrived we decided to stay for a drink or two. I am so glad we did! As we were walking to a table we were warmly greeted by a gentleman named Jesse who would be our server/bartender for the evening. We played it safe with our first round of drinks and ordered off the menu but as we got talking with Jesse, we found out he has quite the passion for mixology and got him to surprise us for our second round. This man absolutely knows his stuff as he made us a Lemon Meringue Pie drink and he took an old classic in a New York Sour and gave it an updated twist that somehow made it taste even better than the original.While I must also mention that the atmosphere of this bar is cozy and inviting and that the music was an excellent soundtrack for the evening, the real highlight of the night was speaking with and getting served by Jesse. The passion he has for amazing drinks and great service is unlike anything I have ever seen before. His creations and his passion have now earned him two new regulars as my friend and I will definitely be back on a regular basis to try more cocktails he has the recipes for in his head. (We'll just make a point of showing up earlier as we would still like to try the calamari that everyone says is worth going for alone)
Top place to eat. Good service and spectacular food. The burger was perfect and really well balanced with lots of taste in the topping and a great quality patty. The rabbit toast was delicious really well cooked and put together.I highly recommended this venue.
My husband and I can't believe we haven't tried this place before in the last two years of coming to Canmore. Definitely sooo glad we did, and will be back!! We loved the drunken calamari and the pork schnitzel. They were both very tasty and good sized portions. Our server, Jessie did a great job as well! Thank you for the best Sunday night dinner and will see you soon.
Nice little place for a drink. Though we had lunch here and it was good! We loved their burger dish! The best fries I have ever had! The seafood salad was good too though I wasnt very keen on the anchovies! Our server was nice and friendly. I also love the ambiance of this place.
We only stopped in by accident. But we were exceptionally glad we did. We sat outside and our pooch was able to sit close to us. So definitely dog friendly if you can get a spot outside.Their cocktails were well done, but their food stood out. Very clear choices in flavour pairings and textures. Somebody there definitely knows what they're doing. I had the gnocchi which was an absolute umami bomb. Fantastically rich, I would recommend sharing. The vegetarian curry bowl also had very well thought out clean, fresh, crisp textures and flavours. Both were wonderful. I highly recommend and will be back.
