Was looking for a new venue to bring small groups so decided to try it myself first. Well decided on a simple grilled cheese sandwich. The young Chinese lady was pleasant but had no idea of English or money. I gave her the correct money of coinage plus a $50 note. She tried to only give me the change out of the $50 I said no and pointed out that she only needed to give me $40 so what did she do a $20 ,$10 & 2x$5 so much for trying to save their change or was she upset and decided to screw me?The soup was nice but the grilled cheese sandwich was inedible. The cheese was cold. It had a heap of sultanas and a half piece of pineapple. I complained and was told it was apple chutney?Out of interest I reread the menu board it said includes beets? I left most of the sandwich and left pleased that I had made a preliminary visit otherwise a lot of people would have been disappointed. Lots and lots of other places to eat at.
Super friendly and passionate staff make delicious food. The soups all have great flavor and you can tell lots of attention goes in to making them delish! And the sandwich we had, roast chicken, was just so good. Made you want to dive back in for another bite while your mouth was still full. Definitely recommend this place. Cozy and yummy!
The sandwiches were really good.. specially the cheese sandwich. I loved the sweet and salty taste of the sandwich. With different cheese and apple chutney it is a must have if you are looking for something different. The tomato soup and the eggplant sandwich were great too.. Overall a nice place
Had their chicken pot pie which was very good. Free wifi. Counter service. Street parking available near by. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Could use more summery food items.
Decent, but a little over-priced for what you get. Tables shouldn't spin, and what's with hipsters hating plates? (They're actually using platters made too LOOK like cutting boards.) The soup (mushroom) was delicious but a small serving. The sandwich (roasted chicken) was good, but not extraordinary. No, splashing truffle oil on something doesn't magically make it 'artisan.'
